Amir has practiced as an optometrist for 18 years and loves engaging with customers. Before becoming a friendly face to the Potts Point community, Amir graduated from UNSW with a Bachelor of Optometry, Graduate Certificate in Ocular Therapeutics and Masters of Optometry. Amir has worked in full scope optometry in several corporate and private practices and is extremely knowledgeable about spectacle and contact lenses. Amir has also graduated from London’s City University and, since completing his teaching fellowship, has been involved in clinical supervision and teaching at the school of optometry and vision science at UNSW.

Maryanne is the heart of our practice. A Potts Point local, Maryanne has owned Macleay Optics for 21 years and has served the community through many years of change. Maryanne loves choosing the perfect frame for our patients and, with the help of her team, personally selects all the frames in the practice; travelling to optical trade fairs as often as she can. She believes that seeing well should not come at the expense of looking good, and is passionate about improving the confidence of all who walk in the door. She has an amazing knack for choosing just the right frame and works hard behind the scenes to deliver great customer service to all our customers.
